Joseph Longo is a retired engineer I'd like to mention. He's the guy who made his plasma gasification company stand out from the others that have sprouted up over the last decade. The thing that is different about Longo's Plasma Converter is that it has reduced the process down to a one step process; where as others require a few more steps.
Longo's Plasma Converter is a self sufficient clean energy producing machine and can consume ordinary garbage and make a profit doing it. It mentioned in the March, Popular Science mag that they estimate that a $250 plant could possibly pay for its self in 10 years. The only by products produced by the contraption is electricity and syngas. And syngas can be use to produce a number of different things. It takes a little as the amount of electricity that is contained in ;a police stun gun to start it and then Longo's Plasma Converter produces hydrogen and electricity on it's own with no outside dependancy.
